Who we are
JED Training provides continuing professional education for psychologists, school psychologists and educators. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website and our learning platform.
Information we collect
You give us:
- Name, email address and password when you create an account
- Professional details you choose to provide: discipline, license number, state, employer
- Payment details, processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers
- Content you submit: quiz responses, evaluation responses, support messages
We collect automatically:
- Course progress, video viewing time, quiz attempts and scores
- Sign-in times, IP address, browser and device type
- Essential cookies for authentication and session management
Why we use it
- To deliver the courses you enrol in and record your progress
- To issue, verify and reissue certificates
- To meet the record-keeping obligations expected of continuing education sponsors
- To provide support when you contact us
- To improve courses, using aggregate evaluation and item-analysis data
- To send transactional email, and marketing email only where you have opted in
Seat time and assessment records
Because certificates carry CE hours, we record actual viewing time and assessment activity. These records are the evidence behind your certificate and are retained accordingly. We do not use them for any other purpose and we do not disclose them to your employer unless you were enrolled under an organizational licence, in which case completion status is visible to your organization's administrator.
Organizational and district enrolments
If your employer purchased your seat, the administrator on that account can see your enrolment, completion status, completion date and CE hours. They cannot see individual quiz answers, evaluation responses or support correspondence.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who host, deliver video, send email and process payments, under contract and only for those purposes
- Your organization's administrator, where you were enrolled under an organizational licence, limited as described above
- A licensing board or auditor, where you or your board request verification of a completion
- Anyone, where the law requires it
Retention
Account and completion records are retained in line with the retention periods expected of continuing education sponsors, so that we can verify your certificate years after the fact. Support correspondence is retained for three years. Marketing preferences are retained until you withdraw them.
Your choices
- Access, correct or export your personal information from your account, or by asking us
- Request deletion of your account — note we may need to retain minimal completion records to honour certificate verification
- Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time in one click

Student data
We do not knowingly collect information about students, minors or clients. Please do not include identifiable information about a student or client in any field, quiz response or support message. Where a district requires it, we will sign a student data privacy agreement.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to staff who need it. We review access periodically and log administrative actions.
